About the Author
Born on 15 October 1931, at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam specialized in Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology. Dr Kalam is one of the most distinguished scientists of India and has been awarded the Padma Bhushan (1981), the Padma Vibhushan (1990) and India s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna (1997).
Dr Kalam became the eleventh President of India on 25 July 2002. His focus and greatest ambition remains finding ways that will transform India into a developed nation.

Kalam was a fantastic human being that reached out to so many people

Dr. Kalam was a fantastic human being that reached out to so many people. It is rare to find a human being with these standings. He will always be my mentor. His dignity and smile were truly amazing. His compassion towards people were shown in his actions and everyone loved him. Dr. Kalam conveyed the importance of imagination to millions of children in his countless visits to schools. He had his own algorithm of applying imagination to real life. He said " Dream, dream, dream, dreams lead to action; actions bring change. Dr. Kalam has written so many books and they all have a different message. It is up to you what you choose to hear and what to read.

A very human President

Written in a simple, colloquial fashion, Indian's eleventh president recounts his life's journey. More than an autobiography, Dr JPJ Abdul Kalam offers readers a collection of simple but profound anecdotes that weave a story of ideas, of collaboration and of dreams become action. In reading this book one will understand why Dr Kalam is called "the people's president" by all of India, and why, at his sudden death in July 2015, he was universally mourned.

unbelievable realities of this super hero......he definitely is not human........

I never read books other than short stories and comics. This is my first book which I read full and completed it in one day......that says it all.
One needs to be higher in stature than Dr. Kalam to rate this book, the day I become like that.. I will come back and leave a review.....
Truly inspirational.
